The Pointer Sisters were Right On....

I'm so excited....and I just can't hide it....

Why oh why am I doing my lame version of Cartwheels....and dancing uncontrollably...even 24 hours later....Juice is an amazing man...truly amazing...and I know..you all are going to think he made a unexpected show at the front door yesterday....sorry...I know...that would have been so much excitement...the roof would have blown off the house...and you all would have seen it on Nightly News with Brian Williams...."Strange things in New Jersey...Spontanous Combustion of house....

He was able to do some Christmas shopping in between his 12 hour flights....and bought me the one thing that would really make my transition from Fashion Diva...to Domestic Diva...complete....my new Sewing Machine....Originally I wanted one that had over 500 stitches...embroidered....massaged my feet....and made a mean cup of coffee....but when I realized how much they were....couple that with the fact that I haven't sewn since production class in college....yeah no....Hell I'm lucky if I can remember how to thread a needle...but wait....my new machine has self threading....oohhhhh I'm getting all tingly again....

The poor man really tried to make it as much of a surprise as possible...but I guess Joann doesn't do wrapping....and when I answered the knock at the door yessterday...there was not only a burly...UPS driver (kin to the one in Legally Blonde)....but better yet....the answer to my domestic crafty prayers....Even Pooh is getting into it....or he is until he has to wear one of my homemade costumes....then we'll talk....

Now...hold on to your butts....cause that ain't all....

Now as I'm channeling my inner D.D (Domestic Diva)...my neighbor is ready to pop with her second bundle of joy....and I'm the person who can't throw anything out...now what the heck do those two have in common....I have a whole bag of newborn diapers...I think Pooh used oh a total of 5 before he was onto the next size....and me also channeling my inner frugal diva has saved them until the right opportunity would present itself....and this was it....so after two trips to Walmart...and a trip to the Dollar Tree....using up a whole package of white tissue paper...some bouts of cussing...and voila....my diaper cake...which I think rivals any professional job....(hmmm...maybe onto real cakes next...) I know she will love it....

Now If those two things aren't enough to send you into fits of happiness....How bout this....

LenaLoo over at Inner Green Fairy has gifted me with her First Award. She is an amazing Writer...who is one of my addictions...next to reeses cups...and pedicures...and half baked ice-cream...she is fab-u-licious...to be sure....so thank you for creating the award...and giving it to me....I am honored by it...and humbled by your praises....

So Now I'm going to spread the love of this award.....

Nicole over at What a Trip!....She is so someone I would LOVE to hang out with

D.G...over at DomesticGoddess....let's just say her fave Holiday Movie...is mine...

Janah over at Not So Mom-a-licious....she sucks me in....when I really need to be folding laundry....and doing dishes....bad Janah...bad bad....

I suggest you head over to these fine ladies...I think you'll see why I've passed this AWESOME award onto them....and of course...LenaLoo....for who without her...this wouldn't be possible....Thank You Again....

So my Fab Finds for this friday.....there you have it.....My Happiness Meter is off The Charts.....

Congrats on the award and the sewing machine! I've been wanting one (a sewing machine, that is) for quite awhile, but have been unwilling to give in to that part of my domestic diva-ness. I bake a lot and a few years back, my mom gave me a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer. Ah, the bliss. But I haven't been able to part my lips to tell anyone that I want a sewing machine. Hmm....

My attempt at sewing gifts this year was sad. Congrats on your sewing machine... it looks sweet...I bet if only I had a nicer machine I could actually sew (yeah right!).

Oh and you are right (kinda)...I'm not a Rams fan, I like Buffalos BUT my hubby is a rams fan and alumni of your almamater ;)

What an awesome gift! I would LOVE a new sewing machine. Except then I'd have no excuse for crooked lines. :(

And, I LOVE your diaper cake!! SOOO CUTE!

And, last but not least, thanks so much for the award!! *BIG GRIN* And, anytime you find yourself near Chicago, we'll have to hang out! ;) I know I won't be going anywhere for a while, though! lol

My baby is six now....but a few years ago, this exact post would have been me. EXACTLY. I was dying reading it.

My domestic craftiness lasted about two months though. I have the attention span of a chimp. But I DID try! :-P

Your Fab Friday Finds really live up to their name today. I am sincerely impressed by both everything I read about in this post and your status as a domestic goddess. Something we can all aspire to. :) Look out come next Halloween. I foresee great, great things in Pooh's future.

Fits of happiness? No, it put me into fits of jealousy! I have been wanting a sewing machine for awhile! And that diaper cake?! You are that mommy that in my head I am saying "I want to be ThAT Mommy!" *sigh*
But at least I got a bloggy love award! That makes me happy too!
P.S. Why would you want to do laundry anyway? All the cool moms "aren't" doing it.

I was pretty excited when I got my sewing machine last Christmas... I hope you use yours more than I used mine!

That reminds me I need to break out my sewing machine from the cobwebs which I have been meaning to do for the last 6 months or so.

Congrats on your award!

I wandered over from SITS.

Congrats on your award!

I bet you're going to make some great things with your new sewing machine! I ordered something for myself from Joanns and when it arrived, I handed the box to my husband and told him he could give it to me for Christmas! It's now sitting under the tree, unwrapped (a new sewing light).
I like your diaper cake too, excellent job!

Congrats on yor award and your sewing machine! I wish I could pull that inner crafty person I know is inside me. That way I could use that sewing machine that has never been taken out of the box that is currently in the "man room" aka garage :).

Thanks for stopping by my blog and being saucy also!

that is a pro looking diaper cake! and thanks for giving me an award first :) in response to your comment about the spaghetti sauce, I would have puppies with shredded intestines if i let them near that hot mess... loads of tiny glass slivers... the jar fell out of the 2nd to the top shelf in my pantry... I just stood there and started laughing after the crappy day i had just had... Then I kept cooking... Didn't bother to clean it up till my parents got there (after a 7 hour drive) and laughed about it with me...

Ok...had to ask...
As I am in the market for a new sewing machine myself (needing something a little more than a regular sewing machine, but not quite an 'industrial' one either.
How does this one measure up??
My current Singer can not seem to get through nylon webbing so well.

Love your blog and hope you can check out mine too!
