Meet my new roomate....

This is Herman....The Big Green Monster, that has moved into my pad....unceremoniously plopping himself down and making himself quite at home....grrrr....
Herman...as cute as he is...with all that soft green fur....big close set eyes...and squeezable round nose....has turned me into a not so pleasant person to be around....at least....I don't want to be around myself...though Herman seems to think I'm the best thing since sliced bread...

speaking of sliced bread....Herman takes the last of the middle pieces...then just leaves the heels in the fridge for me and Pooh....or drinks the last of the milk....or leaves his dirty, monster laundry all over the floor....and I am not one that likes to deal with Monster undies....let me tell you...

Herman has really got to go....because I am so tired of having......a nasty case of Envy.....Blog envy.....for all those fabulous bloggers who have 400000000 followers....9000000 comments.....and articles written about them.....

Etsy Envy.....for all those fabulous shops who have been open less time than I have....and have 4000000 sales....and have captured 900000 hearts.......

and it's all Herman's fault......

so after another night of sitting in front of my computer....turning a beautiful (if I do say so myself) shade of green....I made the decision....that tomorrow...Herman is going....Pooh and I are packing his things....and driving him to the station...with a one way ticket to anywhere but here....

Then we have to go get more bread and milk....
Herman....

Awww...

I have to say, that was pretty funny! I was reading along, thinking to myself, "Where is this going? Did someone buy her son a giant stuffed animal that's taking up too much space in the living room?"

I COMPLETELY understand how you feel. My own list of followers has been a "slow build," if you will, and I have so many people reading (according to my statcounter account) that aren't following or commenting. I try to take solace in the fact that at least they're reading...

I am with you... now I can't complain too much about my Etsy shop as I've been REALLY slack about maintaining it. I just told my dh this morning I need to get back on track.

But part of it is because no one was shopping.

I love your blog...

It does seem like everyone else had 4 bijillion followers and comments doesn't it.

We just have to support each other, and blog because we love it, not cause anyone is reading! (although we know they are...THEY JUST DON"T comment enough do they? lol!)

Great post. I think most of us are a little green with envy - to know that there are bloggers out there who make actually money from blogging!! Money for realz!! And to think they probably don't spend much more time on their blogs than the rest of us do...And did you see the recent GMA episode about the ETSY sellers making up to $40K in sales?? I have yet to sell a T-shirt online! One. as in a Single One. I've never been one to settle for the "if it's meant to be" approach, but I am beginning to think that way more and more these days! :D

Oh too funny! I was reading this thinking, "Now where is this going...???"

I'm totally with you. And it's hard to not have Herman around when you seen how ridiculously popular some bloggers are! But at the same time we're all here to support each other!

Good job packing him away... I'll try to do the same!

I feel yah - I think Herman visits me from time to time. Meanie. My Etsy shop has been neglected by me and my fans. Where ARE my fans. Siigh. :)

You know what helped my blog envy??? Stopping blogging for a while. Then I stopped tracking all my hits, my links, and my followers. It has been fabulous. But now that it's summer (almost!) Herman may visit me again....

Don't we all go through this?! I almost wrote an entire post whining about losing followers and out of all the ones I have I only get 20 visits and like 4 comments and blah blah blah. Then I always have to step back and remember that when I first started I didn't even know about all those things and I did it because I amused myself. Seems like it's always an up and down battle. But I honestly think that with summer here, more people are busy with the kids being out of school. SEE! That's why I love winter for the rest of the country! It makes them my captive audience!
