What a Weekend!

This past weekend was absolutely PERFECT to celebrate the 2nd Birthday of one very special little man. The Sun was shining bright, the temperature was unseasonably warm...and with Grandparents in for a visit...and Daddy home just in time from a trip, I couldn't have asked for anything more.

The weekend was filled with a special Birthday lunch at The Pop Shop (Who by the way serves up the BEST grilled cheeses on the Planet...Just ask Bobby Flay)...

Followed by a fabulous and leisurely stroll through through Downtown, to see the sights....say hi to the locals....and find something special for the Birthday boy.....I think a Bright Yellow Balloon did the trick nicely.....and yes that is me waddling.....just call me happy feet.....

Of course the man of the hour has to have a FABULICIOUS party....with lots of VIP guests in attendance.....and served up on the menu? Elmo Cupcakes....which aren't Martha Stewart Quality....but came out looking pretty darn good if I do say so myself....

The Piece-de-resistance......The Amazing and Fabulous Sandbox that Daddy spent all day making especially for his favorite guy....

This was by far the FAVE gift....known not only by the fact that I've found sand in every crevice of his little body.....but also by the tell tale grains of sand found in every crevice of the house.....

I'm totally thinking that on a scale of 1 to 10....this Birthday Weekend was off the chain...

Not sure if we can top it.....but I'm pretty sure.....when next year rolls around...we're sure gonna try!

I think the Elmo cupcakes look awesome. Great job! The sandbox is also great. I wish my hubby was handy and could build something like that. I think our kids would get a kick out of it!
