This is the Story....Of a Baby

Who is so well and truly loved....

I cannot believe that today marks the little guy's First Week Birthday.....Already the time is flying by....and I'm trying really hard, between sleep deprived nites....and busy days with a toddler to soak it all in....

Ryan is such an amazing baby....I feel so blessed that he is turning out to be as easy (if not easier) than his brother was.....He's a fabulous sleeper, veracious eater....and a world champ pooper to be sure....

I can't seem to get enough of the smell of his baby skin....or how soft the hair on the back of his head is. It's so crazy to me, that even though Noah is only 2 years old, I've found I've forgotten what he was like in that first week...maybe it was due to living off 4 hours of sleep a night....but, It's nice to be with Ryan, and suddenly have a Deja vu moment...and feel like I can relive those moments I had with Noah....

The Day of Ryan's Birth, ended up being an Extra Special, and in the end, a bittersweet day. Ryan entered the world at 2:53 PM, and his Great Grandfather (Hubby's Grandfather) passed away four hours later, at the grand old age of 92. It's hard not to think of how amazing, and unique that is, and how Ryan was able to help take away some of the sadness that we all are feeling at the loss of a wonderful man.

So to give a short rundown of the weeks events....

8 hours of labor

3 (yes 3) epidural attempts

7 Minutes of Pushing

2 nights in Hospital Hotel

3 Wake Up Calls per night

3 (depending on how many visitors we get) outfit changes per day

6 Daily phone calls from Grand parents

1 Devoted, and Loving older Brother

and 2 Very tired...but very happy Parents.....

Yay! I'm TTC number two, number one is 2 weeks shy of his first birthday and have been wondering how it will be. I love that it's been a pretty smooth transition for you.

So happy that he is an easy baby for you! And sorry to hear about his Great Grandfather.

DH and I are still TTC our first, after FAR too long, so I can't wait to experience the sweet things with our own baby and not others.

3 epidural attempts!! You poor dear. I'm so sorry to hear about his great-grandpa passing but what a blessing that their lives could overlap as such.
He is such a darn cute baby!

And 7 minutes of pushing? Wow!

I love it. The love that babies inspire can truly heal. I'm sorry for your loss but so happy for your gain.
