What To Expect: A Giveaway

I remember the first thing that the husband and I excitedly did....when we first found out we were pregnant with our first child.....besides stare at the plus sign for a good 20 minutes to see if it would change.....

We headed straight to Barnes and Nobles and bought "What to Expect When You're Expecting".....as we had NO idea what to expect over the next 40 weeks of our lives. It lived on my bedside table, and became our window into all the changes that we both could and couldn't see happening....and helped me get answers to questions I may have......(okay DEFINITELY) was too embarrassed to ask my doctor about.....ie anything pooping related.....

After Noah was born, my nicely dogeared "What to Expect When You're Expecting".....was replaced by a Shiny New Copy of "What to Expect the First Year".....which helped us navigate everything from the umbilical cord falling off.....to is my child still normal if he's not quite walking yet at 12 months....(I admit I was worried at first)

Now I'm firmly engrossed in both "What to Expect the 2nd Year" and "What to Expect The Toddler Years"....it is my insiders guide to the mind of a toddler.....and helping me wade through the world of tantrums, potty training....and having 2 under the age of 4......

and having 2 under the age of 4 has left little to no time to even open a book......but thanks to both WhattoExpect.com....and the What to Expect App for the Iphone.....if I don't know the answer....it is never more than a click away....

You can access their site by clicking on the What To Expect Button on my sidebar

I am so excited that WhatToExpect.com and I are teaming up to give to one lucky reader a copy of each....

Best advice...."keep your mouth shut. Chances are, no one wants to hear your opinion!"
--Sounds a bit harsh but there are hundreds, maybe thousands of times I WISHED I had followed this advice as a teenager and adult!

Best Advice...Listen to your olders, they have been there done that. Even if it sounds stupid later on you will be wishing you had listened.

best advice - treat others the same way you'd like to be treated

My mom's best advice was "This, too, shall pass". Sometimes when kids are going through a challenging time, it seems like it will last forever. But all of a sudden you realize they have moved past that stage and on to another one. And it wasn't so bad after all!

The best advice my Mum ever gave me was when I was pregnant. I was so worried that something was going to go wrong because one of my best friends had just had a baby who was severaly handicapped.

My Mum told me to relax. She said that nothing was going to happen and that our baby would be healthy.

Her soothing advice caused me to calm down and stop worrying.

She was right. Our Son was perfect.

Thanks so much for the giveaway. These are awesome books. ~Pauline

Hello and thank you for this possibility! :)

The best advice is probably to take things slowly...at times I can still use it big time :)

Best Advice...Take pride in everything you do - take your time and do things properly the first time instead of rushing through or thinking it will just happen by itself.

The best advice my mom gave me was when she told me to play video games with my husband since I coulnd't do anything about a situation at the time. I had a better day and the situation was worked out after that.

“You don’t have to tell everything you know.” This was actually my grandmother; she helped raise me. She said this to me a lot when I was little.

The best advice my mom gave me wasn't spoken advice. It was her actions. She was there whenever I needed her and later she was there whenever my kids (her grandchildren) needed her. She has a lot of patience. I tried hard to emulate that part of her. Thanks!
