**** First***** DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE AWESOME GIVEAWAY OF THE BABY BUYING BIBLE EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT....GO HERE TO ENTER*******
This is dedicated to my first love....the love that started in high school...while skimming through the pages of Teen and YM magazines next to my locker....the love that sent me to pursue a degree in Fashion Merchandising instead of something with more income potential...like Law...or Medicine...Computer Science...or Frisbee....
This love affair I have with fashion has not diminished...even though the funding in which to maintain it has....
Now granted I have never been one to try and idolize Imelda Marcos....or Mariah Carey...(Did you SEE her closet on MTV Cribs???)....I have been very good at living by the rule...buy one....pass one on....
And while we are on that subject...I have also never been one to justify paying the same amount for a handbag or pair of shoes...that I would on a months car payment....even though I had NO problem helping others justify it....(does that make me a hypocrite...perhaps....but it's what makes the fashion world turn)
But I digress...
Here is a Picture I found....where I love miss Heigel's casually chic look....even down to the Tory's on her feet....
This little number.....would only be worn in the company of divorce lawyers and movers.....
A beautiful Cotton Poplin Dolce and Gabbana Camp Shirt $995.00 @ Nordstrom.com
But this little Gem.....might get me a date night....where they actually don't have a drive through...or a take-out menu....
A super Sassy Cotton Batiste Camp Shirt from Old Navy $24.50 @ OldNavy.com
Frugality can really be oh so Chic....
But really....after all is said and done.....
My first love has been well and truly replaced.....
They think I'd look good wearing nothing but a potato sack....how can you argue with that?....

That is a cute picture of your boys!!!
I love Katherine Hiegl :)
I also love finding a cute outfit on a bargain!
What a great pick of Juice and Pooh! I would love to spend more money on shoes and bags and tops and jeans and...and ...and ...
But I love my family and it is important to make sure we can eat! This is also where my sister come in and saves us with even further deals and discounts at Banana Republic, The Gap and Old Navy. We would probably be wearing potato sacks without her.
Hey there, Go over to my place there is something waiting for you.....
Okay that may have sounded a bit bossy, I'm just a bit excited, so I'll try again.
If your not too busy maybe you could swing by my place and check out the very cool thing I have for you. ;)
This was a sweet post! It's amazing how your priorities change once you have a family.
You have great taste :)
I would love to buy wonderful fashionable clothes but I guess this is just one of the sacrifices we have to make as moms. It is interesting how throughout our lives our priorities change.
I have read some of your posts and would like to revisit.
If you like reading short stories from an Indian writer, then a visit to my blogs would be an interesting one for you.

What a great blog - I too am a fashion addict. I love the challenge of taking all the trends and boiling them down to affordable looks.

Love the pic of the boys! Super cute!
I think I might have to make another trip back to Old Navy. I was just there last weekend to buy a white button down and did not spy that cutie and settled for something without pockets instead.
You are so right!! All of my first loves went by the wayside when I started my family. Shoes, purses, designer jeans...they just don't do it for me anymore. (well, maybe a little)
I wish I still spent the money on clothes like I used to before my kids came along. Now I am lucky if I can find an old rag when I need to go out. LOL! Love the pics of your guys!
That is too cute! Hope all is well your way!
I am good...I have a lil goodie for you over at my place! Come and get it!
