It's My Party Vol. 1

The Infamous First Birthday.....The Birthday that sets the standard for future Birthday's to come....The Birthday that you will NEVER remember yourself....except for random reminders in the form of grainy Poloroids of a tiny tot....who is completely camouflaged by Cake....and is more interested in licking their fingers than posing for pictures or socializing with guests....

Even with that being said.....it is a tradition that I whole heartedly intend to continue with....and have thought about the upcoming festivities since last year....okay I'll be honest....I think I've thought about this...more than most women think about weddings.....

And oh what a shin-dig it shall be......

And what is the Best Way to get everyone pumped about a First Birthday Party....A Snazzy Invitation that's what.....

And that decision was probably the hardest decision I've had to make in a long time.....Juice thought that the new baby was finally sucking out my last remaining brain cells....But it has to be Just Perfect.....For one...We are doing a Pooh Theme...without the Pooh Theme.....Okay let me clarify...we are doing a Picnic Party in The Hundred Acre Wood...which just happens to be where Winnie the Pooh Lives....the rotund little fuzzy bear will of course make an appearance...but it won't look like a political rally for him to be the next president.....

So Pooh Invites....not on the agenda...I wanted to find something picnic-ey...without costing me an arm and a leg....seriously....I still understand he's one....and the only people (okya really just person) who will reminisce about his....is me.....so who wants to spend tons of money on invites...

But I wanted the invites to be considered keepable....not just something you look at and throw away...something the guests who can come...and even family and friends too far away to join in...can keep and enjoy.....

Snapfish....my dear wonderful Snapfish came to my rescue again.....I found an adorable Bee themed Card....where I could put in a fabulous picture of Pooh....and make it the funniest....most Pooh worthy card I could.....

Not only are they spring-y, colorful and theme appropriate....but I was able to send them to my local Walgreens....pick them up in 1 hour....and a box of 20 cost me only $10.80.....Even your basic invites cost $5 for a pack of 8....My Inner Frugal Diva was doing her happy dance.....
I think they turned out Fabulous....Juice really wanted to convey how Excited Pooh is to be turning the Big 1....and he thought this picture was the embodyment of said excitement....I think I have to agree....he does look pretty excited doesn't he.....

So after Stamping....and sending these Bad Boys off to their respected invitees.....It is one thing checked off the list.....next step....menu planning.....and with me having OCD when it comes to Party Themes....Just think Picnic....I think everyone will be thoroughly impressed....

oh and I promise...no scary clowns will be invited....

Those are so adorable!!!

Oh how I wish I knew that they did this!! I finally gave up and went with an e-vite yesterday for Youngest's third birthday.

The only good thing is that my friends are a whole lot better at RSVPing through e-vite.

Can't wait to see the picts from the party...off to spread clicky love. Em
