The first time you spend the night at your new significant others house.....
You feel excited, anxious, nervous....and Confident...all at the same time....
There is your checklist....
breath mints....Check
painted toenails....Check
75% of body hair removed.....Check, Check....and check
cute outfit....that the rest of the world can see....Check
cute outfit...that only your significant other can see.....double check
It will be 23 hours and counting.....and this 77 day stint at single parenthood will officially be at an end....
I tell ya....I have to give mad props to those who do this thing....by themselves....every day....for LONG periods of time....you all have either A) lots of alchohol B) Lots of Therapy....or you are waiting in line to be sainted....
I think it might actually be a piece of cake.....except for the small insignificant fact that my son grows and changes each time we go through one of these.....Last winter....he was learning to crawl and sleep through the night....
This time...He learned to walk....become a one man demolition team....and mastered the art of toddler temper tantrum....
Just when I think I may have mastered this single parent thing.....Pooh throws a curve ball and whacks me right in the tush with it....
But 23 hours from now....I will again be part of a dual parent family....and holy crap...I will actually be able to go grocery shopping alone!!!!....now there is a concept!!!
It's so not about regaining that husband/wife relationship....wink wink....all I really care about is maneuvering my shopping cart through a store without little arms grabbing everything within reach!!!...
The excitement is building.....the butterflies are forming in the stomach....
22 hours and 50 minutes to go!!....now where's that gum....

Hi! Popping over from SITS to say hello. Sounds like a reunion with your husband?? Not sure - but sounds exciting! All the best.
Hooray for shopping alone and hooray for Juice coming home!
Oh I'm so happy for you :) enjoy the Homecoming!
Wow, how exciting! Just getting to know you via blog world and that is awesome. Enjoy the homecoming...
Thanks for the sits welcome! I also am an oklahoman that is now a coloradoan. Hopefully I can call myself an oklahoman again someday soon. I miss it.
Woo! Hotness. I love reunions with Hubby. Not that we're ever apart for very long, but I get swoony when he comes home from work. In the rare instances we actually spend one whole day apart I'm ready to ditch the kids and jump all over him!
Have fun =)
Emjoy the homecoming! And it IS exactly like that pic :)
My hubs homecoming is about a month away! Yay!
YAHOO! So much excitement! Here is to a great homecoming!
Yay, yay, yay...I guess by now...he's home (and that explains why you haven't blogged this weekend) wink, wink! Hope you found your gum, tee hee.
