A Boy and his Dog....

This post is taking me almost 2 days to write...mainly due to the incredible cold I am trying to fight off....There is nothing worse than being pregnant and being sick...when I want nothing more than to down a bottle of Nyquil and say "Nighty-Night"!

So while I sit surrounded by piles of used tissues and a jug of Orange Juice...I am listening to the sounds of a boy and his dog....a budding (best) friendship in the making...

Skarlett took to him on day one....letting us all know he was hers.....I remember when he was 4 months old and I put him on the bed....as I was cleaning up around the room I could hear him trying to squirm...I turned around and she had placed her head on his legs...so he wouldn't roll of the bed...

We had no need for a baby monitor...as she always let us know when he would wake from his naps...

She is the first thing he wants to see when he wakes up....and she is always there in the nursery to say goodnight....

She relishes being able to clean him up after a meal....and thinks nothing of walking around with jelly stuck in her fur...

Oh the havoc these two will wreak on the neighborhood.....picture if Dennis the Menace had a dog named Marley.....exactly.....

cough....sniff sniff.....blow.....

Oh, those pictures are adorable. I had so hoped my dog would feel that way about my daughter...but he prefers to avoid her at all costs. Sigh.

I love this. Nico is obbsessed with our dog Frankie. They chase each other around the house half the day. I couldn't be prouder of how tolerant the dog is of Nico. Nico will straddle his neck and bounce up and down. He stands on him to get up onto the couch. Sticks his fingers in the dogs nose. The whole time Frankie just sits there and lets him do it.
Such a great post!!

Sweet story and pictures. I know exactly how you are feeling and what you are describing. Our dog Brady is a saint with our son and they love each other incredibly. It is really fun to watch.
