New Year....New Stamina....New Project Mommyhoods?

**** I have to say I'm loving the comments....but after re-reading my post....I realized I didn't clarify probably well enough......the only symptom I'm having at this time....is the AWFUL morning sickness.....the others....thank the good lord are just tidbits of wisdom my wondeful community of women have showered upon me.....So NO monsterous pimples (yet) and NO butt donuts (yet) crossing fingers....

Sorry for the confusion!

2010....

Has made it's appearance....and as many of you know....the way most pregnant women usher in such a joyous occasion is by rolling over and continuing to snore into her pillow. Or that's at least what I tell myself...so I don't feel like such a party pooper....

2010.....A new year...which will find me a) getting MUCH MUCH larger....and b) figuring out if becoming a mom of more than one child is really a blessing....or really just a way to drive one crazy....It is also where I hit my second trimester!

Holy Hallelujah! Nuff said!!!

You would think, or at least I would think, I would have this morning sickness thing down to a fine art.....saltines and gingerale positioned in strategic places.....to allow for instant access and hopefully some relief....

Yet....what I thought was HORRIBLE morning sickness with my lovely Pooh......was really just preschool to to what this little munchkin is doing.....which leads to everyone now telling me "It's a girl"

Does that mean Girls automatically even before birth drive parents crazy? Why give poor girls such a bad stigma? No wonder girls have self esteem and identity issues....Case in point!

Here is what I've learned about potentially being pregnant with a girl...

Girls give you awful morning sickness

Girls make your face fat

Girls just make you fat all over

Girls make you crave carbs

Girls give you more hemroids (yeah for butt donuts)

Girls give you acne

Now is it just me...or is there something seriously wrong with this? Yeah I thought so too....

So as my second trimester has begun....and the morning sickness and fatigue are waning....and my propensity to MUNCH has increased....

I find I am revitalized with blogging....so much so that I am willing to make the jump I think to become not just a blogspot.com....but a .com.....ahhhhhhhhh....the big time....

HOWEVER....

I have found out that I am a little too late to claim that domain......Poo! Hiss! I even for a moment had a little mini tantrum..."That's my Name!"

another side effect I hear of being pregnant with a girl

*** disclaimer....I have NO idea what I'm having yet.....*****

But the adult me finally took over....after putting myself in timeout....and I say "Fo-git about it"...There are much more important things to do in life....plus...when the time is right....I'll have The PERFECT plan to go mainstream!

The name is big enough for more than just me!......

Even if I did come up with it first....Nanie Nanie Boo Boo.....

I have been thinking about you all week, I just haven't had the time to get over here and bug you. I was so excited to see that you posted that decided I should tell you how excited I am that you posted first, now I'm going to go ahead and read your actual post. ;)

I didn't have crazy morning sickness and I had a girl. But I did notice all the "negative" symptoms that all seemed to point to having a girl and thought it was a load of bull, even though I experienced some of them. ;)

Long time lurker, first time caller, lol. I am 15 weeks with my 3rd. I have 2 girls already and this one has been completely different. I have been non stop sick, heartburn that almost took me to the ER (as I was sure I was dying from a heart attack, no joke) and constant tiredness! I keep waiting for that 2nd trimester "golden time" to hit, and it is still hiding out apparently. Everyone who (supposedly) loves me keeps cacklin and telling me "twin boys"... And those are the ones that are supposed to be on my side! Best wishes for a calmer 2nd tri.

I have one boy and two girls and I didn't have ANY of those symptoms with either of the girls. All of my pregnancies were distinctly different in symptoms (with my BOY I had morning sickness so bad I had to get IV fluids/nutrients 3-4 times a week at the hospital, with my first girl I passed gallstones, and with my second girl the only symptom I was pregnant was my belly), but I carried them all EXACTLY in the same skinny-body-freakish-beach-ball-belly way.

Every SINGLE old wives tale is total and complete crap~wait for the sonogram! Or, even better, trust your own instincts. The University of Arizona found that a mother with no bias (meaning who didn't really really want a boy or a girl) was right in predicting the gender of her child about 70% of the time. That was true for me-I was right 2/3 times based on my gut feelings the minute I knew I was pregnant.

Can't wait to hear when you find out (you are finding out, right?)

I'm glad the sickness stuff is waning. Really hemroids this early? Your scaring me, but atleast the facts are known and won't freak me out as much when/if I get them. Right? Right??

Wow- now I will know all the signs to look for if I think I'm having a girl in the future. Not pregnant now, but these tips will come in handy. ;) I hope your morning sickness disappears completely - what a horrible feeling! Ugh.
Happy New Year to you! So glad I found your blog. :)

Dang it, someone took your name? BOOOO! I hate to tell you this, but I was pregnant with a girl, and had none of those things...for the first trimester.

So whatever the gender is, he/she is just set on being difficult.
